Character

In first, please read the rules for roleplay.

You may choose a historical person mentioned in the character thread, one we have not mentioned but was present at court in 1661, or create your own character. We will follow the events of the early 1660's, therefore some of the historical persons have a certain plot or need to do specific actions, if this should apply for your character, you will be informed via PM. You must follow this plot, for it is essential for the main story.

Please stay in character. OOC post are not allowed. We recommend you to use PM's for anything OCC or OCC threads.

Please use the correct date of birth, if it is known, age, as well as title.
Many persons, which later became known by a title, did not yet bear this specific title in 1661.
The famous Madame de Montespan was known as Mademoiselle de Tonnay-Charente, for example.
If you need help with titles or the correct way to address nobility or royalty, feel free to ask the maître de cérémonie.

Please use the correct historical background for your character if it is known. Many informations can be found by simply googling. Unfortunately not everyone has a well recorded life, in which case you are fully allowed improvise.

Please use the historical significant other for your character. You may have as many affairs as you want, we are in the 17th Century after all.

Please stick to the historically correct assignments, situation of life, and rank of your character as far as it is known.

You may use a portrait of your chosen character or any other face claim you want, as long as it is not used by someone else already. Face claims must not necessarily be dressed in a historical outfit, but it is appreciated. Please refrain from using pictures that show pornographic content or could be seen as offending by others.

You may give your OC whatever rank and assignment you wish if you receive permission by the maître de cérémonie. For OC's a application containing the characters background story is mandatory. Multiple accounts are allowed, if given permission by the maître de cérémonie and you are online with your first account regulary.

Application

Applications are posted in this thread. The title of your post must contain your character's name. As soon as your application is accepted you may create your account with your characters name, not some sort of nickname. You may then post freely.

For historical characters, a short character introduction will do. Tell us something about your current situation, your style, your look, or your plans. Please mention your title, if you have one, in the post.

For original characters, we need a proper background story, as well as a description of your character's look and personality. Where do you come from? How did you come to court? What are you doing at court?

Be careful not to reveal too much, at court these informations could be dangerous in the wrong hands.
